Stagenhoe - A grade II listed stately home built around 1740, replacing the original house of 1650/1660 which was destroyed by fire in 1737.
Now used as a Sue Ryder care home.
Stagenhoe is in the village of St. Pauls Walden in Hertfordshire and is a few hundred meters away from St. Pauls Walden Bury, the birth place of Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
The moss covered entrance is now unused and is reach via a public footpath.
